This is my first attempt at writing a kid's book. It involves Jon, a grade school boy who works as a lab assistant for scientists working on cloning animals using their DNA. Jon spills a tray with the DNA samples of nine different animals, scoops the material back into the cups, but now all nine animals' DNA are mixed together and unknowingly injected into a penguin egg and allowed to hatch. The result is an animal the scientists have dubbed Nanimal (Nine Animals) The Nanimal hatches and escapes from the labratory and sets out to search for its mother. That might be pretty difficult, since it could be any one of nine different species.
